From my ICT 12 teacher, the class has received many aritcles regarding OLPC:
Why the '$100 laptop' project is under siege
-> This article, written by the Wall Street Journal, discusses other companies' plans to create their own version of this program.
OLPC XO User Review
-> This is an OLPC XO user review who discusses the positive and negative aspects of the laptop, and its hardware and many features.

Visual Basic
For an assignment with Visual Basic, the ICT 12 class is creating a digital clock. We used the time shown on the computer, and to do this, we write under the procedure that deals with the time, "(our name for the timer)= Time". Also, we added a menu option that has File -> Exit, and Help -> About. This was done by going to the Tools Option at the top of the program, then going down to Menu Editor, and then inserting what we want. To have the "Exit" and "About" be within the "File" and "Exit" options, we put them underneath whatever we wanted them to be put under, then click the right arrow, which put 4 dots before "Exit" or "About." This showed that we wanted them to be within another option. "About" shows information about our program, and to get this to pop-up, we had to create a new form. I've learned a lot from doing this program!

Google Analytics
I have signed up for Google Analytics about two weeks ago. This allows me to see where people are from that are visiting my site, how long they are there for, and how many times they have visited. Right now I have 56 visits, most of them are from Vancouver, Canada. Interestingly enough, a person from Turkey, a person from Portugal, and a person from Massachusetts, United States have visited my site! However, it's only been a one time thing from those countries. My goal for my blog is to reach at least 100 visits.

OLPC: One Laptop Per Child
One Laptop Per Child is a non-profit organization, founded by Nicholas Negroponte, which provides children in third world countries with a laptop so that they can have the ability to gain technological knowledge. In addition, these laptops can be a light source for the children's homes. To operate these laptops, there is a crank on the side of it. Wind up the crank, and the laptop can operate up to 10 hours. Also, the program makes sure that the laptop goes into the hands of the child. Personally, I think the OLPC program is a great opportunity for children who do not have access to a computer, and I would like to be a part of such a program.
