Visual C++

I recently installed Visual C++ on to my computer. Our first program will be the "Hello World" program. I am interested to see how this program works, and what I can create with it.

Computer Disassembly

For the computer disassembly project, we worked in pairs of two and we had to disassemble a used Compaq DeskPro computer, then reassemble it, and get it to operate again. We began the disassembly by taking off the lid, and unplugging the cables and wire connectors. Then, we unscrewed the screws that connected the motherboard to the back of the computer. After, we removed the sound card, network card, the RAM and its “sticks”, and the other various parts of the motherboard, and unscrewed the cooling fan. We then removed the CD-ROM and Floppy Drive. After we completely took apart everything, we began to reassemble our computer. We reassembled our computer in the reverse order that we took it apart. We first put back the CD-ROM and Floppy Drive. Then, we put back the Cooling Fan, and reattached our motherboard. On the motherboard, we put the cards, RAM, and any other parts of the motherboard back in. We slid the motherboard in, and screwed it. Finally, we reattached all cables and wire connectors, and made sure everything was screwed in. However, when we went to start our computer, we did not put the motherboard and the riser board in properly, and once that was fixed, we plugged in our computer, pushed the power button, and it worked. Once it worked, we put the lid back on.
