In our ICT class, we have to create a themed package in visual basic that adds a bunch of our forms from other prohects into one big project. So far I have added all the other forms from the various projects to the main form of my themed project. My theme is candy and sweets, it's called "Sweet Tooth." Originally I had a beach theme, but I found it to difficult to make the project look appealing. I have most of the coding done, all I need to do is add a timer to my splash screen, add an "Easter Egg," and fix all the forms to have the same theme.

OLPC Delivery Issues
Here is another article involving OLPC. It states that the company is having delivery problems, and it also mentions that the price of these laptops have risen. Read the message my teacher received regarding the delay in getting the laptop:
"Please accept my apologies for the delay in receiving your XO laptop. Give One Get One was such a phenomenal success that we over-taxed our order processing and payment systems. Demand exceeded supply. Additional XO laptops are being built now and will be delivered in 45 to 60 days. If you wish to reconsider your contribution in the face of this delay, we will issue a refund to you. We have set up a dedicated phone line for these requests. The number is 1-800-883-8102. In the meanwhile, please know that laptops are in the process of going to Mongolia, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Rwanda and Haiti as part of the "give one" side of the equation. Fortunately, OLPC's mission of getting laptops to the children in these countries has not been delayed. In Mongolia, the children are already enjoying themselves and learning new things with their XO laptops. Please see: http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Ulaanbaatar . Eliminating poverty through learning is gaining wider acceptance thanks to support like yours."

Visual C++
I recently installed Visual C++ on to my computer. Our first program will be the "Hello World" program. I am interested to see how this program works, and what I can create with it.

Computer Disassembly

For the computer disassembly project, we worked in pairs of two and we had to disassemble a used Compaq DeskPro computer, then reassemble it, and get it to operate again. We began the disassembly by taking off the lid, and unplugging the cables and wire connectors. Then, we unscrewed the screws that connected the motherboard to the back of the computer. After, we removed the sound card, network card, the RAM and its “sticks”, and the other various parts of the motherboard, and unscrewed the cooling fan. We then removed the CD-ROM and Floppy Drive. After we completely took apart everything, we began to reassemble our computer. We reassembled our computer in the reverse order that we took it apart. We first put back the CD-ROM and Floppy Drive. Then, we put back the Cooling Fan, and reattached our motherboard. On the motherboard, we put the cards, RAM, and any other parts of the motherboard back in. We slid the motherboard in, and screwed it. Finally, we reattached all cables and wire connectors, and made sure everything was screwed in. However, when we went to start our computer, we did not put the motherboard and the riser board in properly, and once that was fixed, we plugged in our computer, pushed the power button, and it worked. Once it worked, we put the lid back on.
